Weapons Export List
I have used the SCAR_L-C_fp.max file from the sdk examples folder and listed all the animations that they have set up for it in an EXCEL worksheet, included the frame count so that people know how long the animations should roughly last, and then a description of what the animation does.
The animations are listed in an order i thought logical

please note that this document is only a rough guide to the animations required, using the example of the SCAR, as some weapons will require other animations, but it can be a handy aid when it comes to animating weapons in Max.

Wild Boar
Originally created for the Lost Dimension mod, when my wild boar wip model was posted in its own thread, a number of forum members were excited that some animals might be made for Crysis, and so there were a few that offered to help rig/animate, but unfortunately this did not lead to a complete working boid.


textures WIP, currently 10,000 triangles, though a lower poly model was also made

Props Released
Following the success for the City Assault 1.0 map, I released the props that i made for the city (as I had a number of requests asking to use).
The download includes the busstop, busstop seat, busstop timetable, crossing island, crossing island stand, crossing island pole, wooden fence, giveway sign, greyelectric box, no entry sign, no go cone, parking meter, pedestrian lights, police evo, road cone, pointed road cone, road works sign, roof fan, speed camera, street railings and traffic lights.

Time of Day Changer
I made a simple FG where you can toggle the Time of Day from Day to Night, back and forth, at the press of a keyboard button.

I made this especially for when creating dark maps, its helpful to have the map light enough for you to be able to see what you are mapping, but maybe you want the map to be really dark - which is fun in gameplay, but a bit too dark for you to be able to map edit in.

So - instead of opening up the TOD dialog every so often to change the ToD, (which can be hassle if you have other windows open like FG and DB and not enough screenspace, and also the TOD doesnt always update instantly -(sometimes i find the sky doesnt change instantly))you can jump ingame Ctrl G, press L, so that it changes the TOD, then Esc game, and the TOD in edit mode will be the same as it just was in gamemode. And it updates everything including sky instantly.

New Syringe Health System
My Health system is based on Weapons and Ammo (and FG)

The player picks up the medi packs as a weapon that has ammo. when they use the medi pack, it restores health and decrease the amount of ammo they have.
Of course i have disabled the medipack from firing bullets lol.

Features:

  • No usual Nanosuit functions or energy
  • No autoregen health,

  • a Syringe is used to inject Morphine into the arm to restore 50 HP
  • a Syringe is also used to inject Adrenaline, to give the player a [10] seconds boost of [strength]
  • with adrenaline, the amount of seconds can be changed, and the strength powerup can be changed to the sprint powerup
  • the Syringe is contained in a pocket-sized casing for easy carry-ability

WIP:

  • animations need tweeking
  • replace nanosuit arms with skin arms
  • have a blood particle form on the arm where the needle sticks in
  • alphachannel textures

The new Health System will be released once it is finished

Flashlight/Torch weapon

This brand new flash-light asset has been created to allow the player to wield the torch either in a single-handed manner or at the same time as a sidearm, in a SWAT overhand fashion. The asset has now been brought in-game with a well rounded low polygon count of 250 polys, completed with texturing an custom animations and xml, The three screenshots below detail the model itself and also the overhand grip that the creator is currently working on.

Demonstration Video
Presented below is a short demonstration video showing the flash-light in action. As we can see the torch has modes for two switchable settings allowing for a narrow but long range beam, or a wide, short-range beam this asset looks to provide the player with a very useful accessory. Be sure to check the forum thread regularly for future updates to this asset.
